The Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Academy Establishment (IDEA) project of the Department of Information and Communication Technology has signed agreements with five more organizations for the development of startups in different parts of the country.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the ICE Tower, Agargaon on Tuesday (February 9th) in the conference room of the IDEA project of the Information and Communication Technology Department. Senior Secretary of ICT Department NM Ziaul Alam was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Five separate MoUs for IDEA projects were signed with Startup Rajshahi, Startup Khulna, Startup Chittagong, Startup Comilla and Startup Barisal.
Among them, Kazi Hossain Ara, Deputy Project Director (Deputy Secretary) of IDEA Project with Startup Rajshahi and Startup Barisal and Syed Mojibul Haque, Director and Additional Secretary on behalf of the project signed the MoUs with the representatives of the three other organizations.
Startup Arafatul Islam Akib from Chittagong, Mehedi Hasan from Startup Khulna, Tasnim Binte Shawkat from Startup Rajshahi, Md. Startup from Comilla. Ferdous Sayem Bhuiyan, Startup Barisal ABM Anas signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of their respective organizations.
The IDEA project is working to build a nationwide community of entrepreneurs and innovators, including key industries, for the benefit of startups and to increase skills and knowledge. The agreement was signed in the light of this.
Under the agreement, the startup community and IDEA project will jointly conduct various training, mentoring, campaign and awards programs, fellowships, seminars, research. To take various initiatives for the development of entrepreneurial culture. To greatly encourage the scattered entrepreneurs of Bangladesh.
Communities will also create government-allocated co-working spaces for entrepreneurs to use their own startups, including creating startup ecosystems in their own areas.
